First off, we want to thank you all for the continued support you've all shown us over the last year. It's been a blast. Now on to the exciting news!
It is with great pleasure that we (Shervin and Justin aka .Doc.Rez. x Tanhands) can finally announce a project that we have been working on for quite some time. On Thursday, June 4, we'll kickoff an art series we're curating called, #smallchange, a monthly night of art, music and community. We came up with this series because with all the negative things going on nationally and in the world, it sometimes feels like there is little we can do to have a positive impact. However, inspired by Killer Mike's approach to dealing with the current state of affairs in our country, instead of complaining about how things were or should be, small change sets out to bring together our community of artists, dreamers and friends to collaborate, support and cultivate the small changes we want to see in our community. This season, #smallchange will feature five New York City artists (Foote, Netz, Tuyay, Hula, and Hair Barrels), each of whom will have a solo or collaborative show at Donna Cocktail Club this summer. Come for the art, great drinks and feel good cuts you've come to know and love from us and stay for the inevitable dance off between Netz and Chris2yay.
